Bivariate relationship between array geometry and performance metrics, by site. Geometry of the positioning array was quantified by the viewing angle at each transmitter location. Viewing angle can be defined as the angle between two bearings running from the focal transmitter to the outer edges of the polygon formed by the receivers. Black lines show the linear fit between these viewing angles and each of the performance metrics, horizontal positioning error and positioning efficiency, using ordinary least squares regression.
